Sometimes x2Pro5 works fine for me and other times I get an error message like

The requested URL was not found on this server.

And then it lists the pathname to a file inside my FCP library

I have no idea why it does this sometimes and not others.

Thankfully I still have the old X2Pro running on my system.

The problem is probably one of lack of access, Sonoma sandboxing is very tight and doesn’t always behave predictably, next time you see this try using a drag/drop to add the user folder to the media locations (don’t browse to the folder) and it will probably work.

Thanks for the suggestion. However I’m not on Sonoma – I’m still on Ventura.

I did try dragging my user folder to the media locations. In fact I’ve dragged every connected drive, including my system drive to the media locations. Still getting the same error.

here is the exact text of the latest error

          file:///Users/d*****/Desktop/IEWU_FINISHING.fcpbundle/Workspace/Transcoded%20Media/Proxy%20Media/A_0098.mov

Thankfully I still have the original X2Pro on my system, which works, but I’d love to eventually transition over to X2Pro5

            Dear David,

If you look on the machine is there the file A_0098 in that location ?

Could you copy that file to the desktop.
Could you open up terminal and drag that file into terminal.
Could you copy or take a snapshot of the filepath in terminal and attach / upload to here.
Could you copy the FCPXML you used and attach / upload to here.

            Yours Sincerely

            James.
