Hi. So I followed the advice for a work-around given: “If you go into the folder for the fcpxmld and copy the info.fcpxml to the same level as the xmld then it will import into FCPX.” and “Make sure that there are no other items in the same folder as the fcpxmld other than a copy of its own info.fcpxml You can now import this into X2Pro5 and you will get the attached AAF.”

However, it still comes up with the error message above.

The thing is: the original xlmd file does import without any problem into FCPX. I have since checked everything on the timeline and exported another version but still, the error appears.

I made an AAF about two weeks ago with the same identical project, which is confusing me.

UPDATE: I have since created a new fcpx library with a single clip and audio and that isn’t working either…

          Dear Gareth,

Glad you sorted it, am a little baffled here as I had a chat with development and we are not sure how uninstalling and re-installing the app would have made any difference as the info.xml contained in the XMLD was not at the correct folder depth so FCPX could not import it, let alone X2Pro.

Would be very grateful to know whether another app or 3rd party process was used at some point in the projects lifetime ?

          Yours Sincerely

          James.
