      je cherche une piste pour comprendre l’origine du problème
      merci

      Unable to parse FCP XML file to obtain project information

      Details:
      Calculating Boxing
      Extracting Audio
      Extracting audio
      Getting retiming from time map
      Processing Asset Clip element
      Processing element AssetClipElement
      Processing element ProjectElement
      Processing element SequenceElement
      Processing element SpineElement
      Trying to get retiming with 0 duration.

      Suggestions:
      – Ensure that the file is not locked by another application and is readable;
      – Ensure that this is a valid FCP XML file from a released version of FCP X;
      – Ensure that this is the export of a Project, not of a Library or Event;
      – Ensure that this is not an empty project (or that all audio is disabled);

        Dear PhilVabian,

        Would you be able to attach the XML / XMLD for us to look at please.

        Many thanks.

        James.

            question concernant la version X2PRO 4 que nous avons acheté, il y a quelques mois. Pourquoi je ne peux faire la mise à jour vers la version 5 ?

              Dear Phil,

              We will look at the XML and let you know what we find. Regarding a special price to go from X2Pro to X2Pro5 it is not possible to do this within the AppStore, so we reduced the price initially because of this for a period of time. I believe we will be running promotions again with a reduced price but I do not know when that will be.

              Yours Sincerely

              James

                pouvez-vous me dire quel est la différence en X2PRO 4 et X2PRO5 ?
                pensez-vous que le problème viens de la version 4 ?

                  Dear Phil

                  In both X2Pro and X2Pro5 we have the same error parsing the XML, it is the “Trying to get retiming with 0 duration”

                  Somewhere in the project you have a retiming set up i.e. play this at 150% speed, with a start point and an end point but these points are the same time, hence 0 duration. I have looked in the project in FCPX to see if it is obvious but I cannot find it. If you know where you have re-timing in the project can you please check.

                  Yours Sincerely

                  James

                    Hello James
                    merci pour votre réponse
                    je ne comprends pas très bien votre question, mais ce que je comprends c’est une question de configuration du projet. Le timecode commence à 10:00:00:00 cela à t’il une incidence ?
                    Le projet est réglé comme suit: 1920×1080 / 23,98p Rec 709 stéréo 48 KHz
                    pouvez-vous préciser ?
                    merci

                      Dear PhilVabian,

                      There is a part of your project where timing has been applied, i.e. speeding up or slowing down, but it has been applied at a start time and end time that are identical. I am not sure how you can do this but it is there somewhere in the XML, unfortunately I cannot find where it is, so was hoping you would know as its your project. If you cannot find it, then I would suggest halving the sequence and checking both halves until you can whittle down to where the re-timming causing the issue has been applied.

                      Yours Sincerely

                      James.
