      Hi,

In the beginning of creating the sequence, the app is crashing all the time (Building sequence) with the error as seen in screenshot.

In X2Pro4 (v4.5.16, I have a license too for that one), it creates the AAF without problems.
      What’s happening please?

      Thank you.

        Dear Lietsche

The error is about access and rights to the Destination Folder called “AAF”. Can you locate this folder on finder and “drag” it again into the Destination Folder bit in the Project tab. If you get the same error message can you create a folder on the desktop and drag this into the Destination folder bit in the Project tab.

        Yours Sincerely

        James.

          Dear James,

when I try both of your options, the app quits unexpectedly just the moment when it is about to start to write the AAF with the following crash report:
(I added it until the crashed thread, if you need more, I can send it….)
          Thank you

In the options tab I deselected “Force embedded audio to 48 kHz” and now I get the following message just before the crash (see screenshot):

I deleted all 32 bit audio in my sequence, exported the XML and now it is just crashing without warning.

                Dear Lietsche,

Can you please provide the FCPXML, I will pop you a mail so you do not have to upload to the forum.

Regarding the 32 bit, it is nothing to worry about it is a “feature” of ProTools currently where it plays 32 bit float as linear, which is quite frustrating, so we decided to convert float to linear so that that audio could be worked on in ProTools. The warning is just that, essentially it is a notice because we are actually changing the source from 32 float to 32 linear.

                Yours Sincerely

                James.

                    Dear Felix,

Have just tried to send you a mail but it bounced, essentially the FCPXML’s are ok as we can process them without the media. We will supply you with a version of the code that contains extra logging to determine which file when trying to be opened by AV Foundation is causing it to go pop.

If you do not receive the link to the download please let me know on the forum and we will see what we can do.

                    Yours Sincerely

                    James.
