Cannot Open File

Hi,

I just bought x2Pro5 and can not get past opening source files.
 
Getting this error message.
“Cannot Open file:///Volumes/Extreme%20Pro/Committee%20Animal/Media/2024-11-9/59K/CAM%20A/REEL_001/A001C017_24110982_CANON.CRM”

Every time I run it, a different filename is cited. Other apps can open the file including FCP of course. Permissions are read/write.

I’m using MacOS Sequoia 15.5, FCP 11.1.
 
Attached is the XML and aaf.log file.

Please advise, I’m running out of time for an approaching deadline. I thought this would be a slam dunk

Hi Robert,

Please see the other thread, the issue looks like you are using cannon .crm media which is not supported in AVFoundation, we use Apples AVFoundation to crack open / extract the audio, and if it cannot do it then X2Pro5 will not be able to. What you will need to do is transcode the media to a codec and wrapper that AVFoundation likes i.e. ProRes and .mov.
