      Hi, I have been using X2Pro for years now, to create AAF’s from my edits. Today, suddenly it refuses to create an AAF from the XML I have created. It gives an error message, suggesting a clip contains unsupported audio format.
      This is what the message says;
      Writing AAF file
      Adding assets to AAF file
      Adding essence for asset [Clip0889] to AAF file
      Opening audio extractor for portion 0 of asset [Clip0889]
      Failed to initialise audio extractor with default bit depth of 16
      Error Setting up for audio extraction (The file “Clip0889.MXF” couldn’t be opened because you don’t have permission to view it.)

      Suggestion: Does this movie contain an unsupported audio format ?

      No AAF file has been generated.

      I tried several things, but can’t find a solution. Could you please advice on what to do?
      Appreciate your help, Stefan

        Dear Switteka

        Can you check the location of the media is accessible as your user, and that there are no restricted rights on that media.

        Yours Sincerely

        James.
