      Cannot Open
      file:///Volumes/Maria2/10.11.%20opva%CC%8Agning/178_JYTTE_1197.MXF

Have added and removed media locations a million times both hard discs, folder, clips – doesn´t help.
Have consolidated all media to one folder – doesn´t help.

      What to do?

        Hi Jella

I do apologise, am not sure why but I have only seen your thread today. Normally we receive a notification when you create a post. Are you still experiencing issues ? It may be that the .mxf file in question cannot be read by AVFoundation.

        Yours Sincerely

        James.

            Hi Sknauer,

The destination folder window will always remember what it was last set to. If you want to change the destination you can either drag n drop a new folder destination i.e. from the desktop or use the + button underneath the destination folder window in the Project Tab.

Please try the above and advise.

            Yours Sincerely

            James.

If you have the older version of X2Pro, please use that as it still works and gives me no errors like x2pro5. I’m now paranoid for the future of this app. If I can’t get it to work on another feature film, then I’m literally screwed and can’t do audio turnovers. There’s no other options available. Guys please figure this out.

                Hi Trevor,

Have forwarded you a link to upload the mov that fails. Until we can look at the mov in question I hope you can understand we can only speculate on what the issue is with this media. As per the other thread you are on we have to use Apple’s AVFoundation, it appears to be this that is struggling with some of the mov’s. In the non swift code in X2Pro we used a variety of methods to open and read .movs, essentially we built our own reader in conjunction with later on AVFoundation and R3D sdk’s. Apple wants us only to use AVFoundation going forward, but I am jumping ahead, we need to look at the .mov first.

                Yours Sincerely

                James.
