Hi there – I did a quick search and couldn’t spot a relevant post, but I’m just wondering if it’s possible to create an AAF with the original files collated together in a folder instead of embedding them? I have been able to create AAFs like this before in Davinci Resolve and Premiere Pro (one small AAF and a folder of original media) but when using X2Pro5 and unchecking the embed box it doesn’t create a folder, just a small AAF. I am assuming this means it wants to link to the original file locations, but I’d like it to copy the media all in one spot so I can hand it all to the audio engineer. Can you help? Am I missing something simple? It’s a large project so I can’t go finding every single clip.

Hi Eowyn,
The two options are either to embed the media or re-link the media, so AAF that contains the trimmed media or tiny AAF that has references to where the media is located. To be clear, what you want is the ability to export all media from a sequence to a given folder and an AAF that contains references to the media as a sidecar file. Question, do you want / need the media to be trimmed ?
