      Dear X2Pro Support Team,

I am reaching out to request assistance regarding an error I
encountered while exporting an AAF file using X2Pro.

The error message is as follows:

“Unable to find portion in asset r5 to match usage starting at
      1.5891555555555552s with duration 17.610844444444446s”

Problem Description: The export process starts but fails consistently
when it reaches a specific asset (referenced as r5 in the XML
Could you please provide guidance on how to resolve this “Unable to
find portion” error? Is this related to a specific clip’s metadata, or
a limitation with the media format?

      Best regards,

        Dear Thinkad

The issue is with being unable to read the asset r5, if you can attach the FCPXML we can tell you where it is so you can manually check it. Essentially the XML is referencing media that is outside of the physical asset. Options are to either remove the asset from the XML (we can do this for you if you want), or replace r5 with another piece of media.

        Yours Sincerely

        James.
