My company uses a Self Service app to manage App Store purchases. I updated to version of X2Pro5 v 5.0.52 and when I try to initiate a conversion it ask me for my App Store login. We use something called vpp, which has access to the App Store which then gets transferred to JAMF to distribute to users.

The App store is entirely under the control of Apple and we have no way to affect anything related to use of the software via the App store. If you know the login details for the App store then you need to log in if Apple require this.
Ive never had to do this before. Is it possible we purchased directly through you and not the App Store?
The only sales route is to buy through the App store unless it was part of an order of 10 or more seats in which case the app store would not have been able to provide the update. You must have bought it through the App Store.
