This AAF was a nightmare to create. Lots of errors along the way. But finally got there, only to have the mixer tell me the AAF was rife with minute gaps. For no reason, there’d be audio drops outs everywhere. See the attached image as a single example.

Any idea what would cause this?

        Hi Filmyak

We are going from a system that uses fractions to a decimal system, when we create the AAF we have to specify the scale to use, and we use 0.1ms. So we expect rounding errors, but looking at the image you have shown that looks close to 3ms. Can you forward a copy of the FCPXMLD, the AAF and the .txt file created with the AAF. Were there any warnings about conform rates and re-timing ?

Will mail you details to upload.

        Yours Sincerely

        James.
