When processing the FCPXML, X2Pro5 will convert 32bit Floating Point audio to 32bit Linear which it can embed in the AAF generated and ProTools doesn’t reject this. I’m not sure about Nuendo though.
If you’re just looking for a specific tool to batch convert 32bit files to 24bit files, there are a number of options out there if you google it.
To clarify ProTools does not support 32bit Floating Point, so we have to by default convert 32 bit Floating Point to 32 bit Linear when creating an AAF so ProTools will be happy with it. If you require to keep 32 bit Floating Point as 32 Bit Floating Point in the AAF then there is a special version of X2Pro5 that will do this. i.e. you will be able to create 32 bit float in the AAF for non ProTools DAW’s.
Hope the above helps.
Yours Sincerely
James.
