I am facing an urgent issue with X2Pro5 and we are currently on a tight production deadline. Every time I click convert to generate an AAF, I instantly get a generic “Cannot Open” pop-up with no specific error codes (screenshot attached).
Media Locations: Completely cleared all locations and re-added the top-level root external drives.
macOS Permissions: Confirmed X2Pro5 has Full Disk Access and Files and Folders permissions enabled.
FCPXML Integrity: Re-imported the exact same .fcpxml back into FCP, and it loads perfectly with zero offline media.
Settings: Tried toggling “Discard disabled clips” and changing preferences, but the error persists.
This is completely blocking our audio post-production workflow. Any immediate help or workaround
