Understood, we were looking at not going to the root of the folder but as it was a r3d file going right down to the folder that contained the (first) r3d file. Bookmarks by design are opaque as its Apple security feature. In theory there should not be a difference between an ObjectC program reading it and a Swift program reading it but there must be however slight as that is the difference between X2pro and X2pro5. Happy to look into it, as we would like to get to the bottom of it, if you get the drive back.
