    Hi Jeff,

Rule of thumb, is import the FCPXMLD back into FCPX on that machine (your not doing this to work on the project just see whether FCPX can read it), if you get the same error X2Pro5 gets, then it is probable that the XMLD is oddly formatted.

What we have seen is that you will have the project xyz.xmld, if you look inside this you see xyz.xmld, if you look inside this you will see the Info.fxpxml, which is the actual project.

It is easier to see this on a windows box. So on a windows box, if you have xmld inside another xmld. Then copy out the xyz.fcpxml\Info.fcpxml, i.e. if you now looked at the folder you created somewhere in windows you will see xyz.fcpxmld and below this info.fcpxml and then use this instead of the xyz.fcpxmld\xyz.fcpxmld\info.xml

Apologies if its a little confusing, I don’t quite know how else to explain it.

Regarding it working in 5.0.43 and not 5.0.44, is there a difference in OS or version of FCP on those machines ?

    Many thanks

    James.
