Hi James,
thanks for your response. I have been struggling for some time to create an aaf.
I don’t think the period ( . ) in the file names is the only issue. It was just something I noticed in the log from an X2pro export.
I upgraded to X2pro5, and that has been even more problematic. No matter what I do, the export always terminates with a ‘cannot open file’ error message. I think I have taken all the recommended steps that have been suggested on the forum, like reloading media locations etc. But still no joy.
I cannot work out how to run X2pro5 in test mode, so that I can at least create an aaf with a log of files it has not included, so I am just left a bit in the dark and going around in circles.
I have 3 x 30 min documentaries I need to send to sound. There is some pretty nasty audio that I am sure Final Cut isn’t happy with, like surveillance footage and phone footage. But it has no problems playing these files in Quicktime so I assume it is OK.
I have attached the xml I used in my latest unsuccessful attempt. If you have a chance to look at it and could offer some help it would be greatly appreciated. Many thanks.
